Propel Data Repository

Population Health Data Repository

The Propel Population Health Data Repository (PHDR) is an archive of data sets and metadata from original studies conducted by population health researchers across Canada. This repository was developed as part of the Interdisciplinary Capacity Enhancement (ICE) program, under the direction of Dr. Paul McDonald of the Population Health Research Group, University of Waterloo.

The PHDR is now supported by Propel. It provides investigators with a place to store their data sets and an opportunity to access other data sets. Ownership of all data in the PHDR is retained by the researchers who contribute the data sets. The PHDR acts as a data steward, storing, organizing and disseminating data for future use. Data is not released for secondary analysis without permission from the data owner.

All data has been de-identified, meaning that personal information such as names, addresses and phone numbers have been coded in such a way that there is no reasonable basis to believe that an individual will be identified.
